2025 Budget Vote Results
Thank you to all who participated in the 2025 Budget Vote. 2,360 ballots were mailed out. Per RCW 64.90.525, the board-approved budget is ratified unless a majority of the association rejects it. To defeat LCMC's proposed 2025 budget, 1,181 NO votes would have been required.
A total of 753 valid votes were received, which did not meet the threshold to reject the proposed budget, therefore the budget is ratified. Assessments for 2025 will be $134 a month beginning in January. Water base rates will be $89 a month.
A breakdown of the votes follows:
District 1: 117 YES, 140 NO, 2 invalid
District 2: 108 YES, 148 NO, 2 invalid
District 3: 84 YES, 156 NO, 1 invalid
Thank you to the teller committee for counting the vote - Rustie Milam, Leanne Hansen-Stilts, and Rachelle Byron

Please see Article III of the LCMC Bylaws What are the voting requirements? In 2018, RCW 64.90 went into effect, most of which does not affect LCMC. (We are generally governed by RCW 64.38.) RCW 64.90.525 does pertain to us. (In 2019, RCW 64.90.080 was added to make this clear.) It covers voting for budgets, which include the plan for expenditures, assessments, and special assessments. That law requires a majority of owners (50%+1) to vote against a budget for it to fail. |
